Veteran Virologist Dr. Robert Webster and Emerging Infectious Diseases

Thursday October 19, 2006
Robert Webster, Ph.D, is a respected virologist at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital who has dedicated his life to studying emerging influenza viruses such as avian influenza, antiviral drugs and vaccines.

A local newspaper from Oklahoma reports that in an AARP magazine interview Robert Webster, Ph.D, has said he keeps Tamiflu and Relenza at the ready in case of a pandemic.

Do you have antiviral drugs at home in case of a pandemic? Should we trust the government to provide us with the necessary treatment if a pandemic arises or should we prepare ourselves? Let us know, leave a comment, it takes less than a minute.
